Arrival at the Urban Kids Academy
During this time, the children are looked after in an assembly group before they go to their own groups. After the children have said goodbye to their parents, we start the day in a relaxed atmosphere. This means that some of the children are still tired and seek the security and closeness of the carers. Others are already full of energy and take advantage of the various play activities.

Breakfast
Children can only start the day with energy if they get the right nutrition. That is why it is important to us that the children take in valuable vitamins through fresh fruit and vegetables at breakfast.

Morning circle
We meet with the children for a children’s conference. Here we talk about what we have experienced, sing songs together, play finger games or place change games and discuss the upcoming daily routine, which is adapted to the needs of the children. In addition, the “Morning Board” is discussed with the children every morning. Here they count, determine the weather, the calendar day, the day of the week, the letter of the day and much more.

“Program Time”
During this time, guided activities take place in age-homogeneous groups. In order to be able to respond effectively and to the respective developmental stage of the children, the children are divided into different age groups.

Free play and movement
During this time, the children’s independence is encouraged and challenged. The children have to decide where, with whom and what they want to play. They decide how long and how intensive this play will be. If possible, free play takes place in the garden.

Lunch
Time for lunch together. After lunch, the children go to brush their teeth and get ready for a quiet time together or a quiet activity.

Bedtime and storytime
During this time, all children who are tired lie down to sleep. For all children who do not want to sleep, our “Storytime” takes place. Stories are read aloud, picture books are looked at and audio books are listened to.

“Program Time” again
After nap time, we use the time to actively learn something together again. Here, too, we make sure that the groups are homogeneous in age.

Afternoon snack
To recharge our batteries we have a small healthy afternoon snack.

Gathering group
Depending on the size of the group, the children are grouped together during this time until the end of the day. This gives the teachers the opportunity to catch up on their day and prepare for upcoming projects and activities.

Second snack
Shortly before the end of our day together, there is a little refreshment for our children.

Pick-up time
Here parents are informed about special events. The teachers say goodbye to the children and their parents.
